Sashmate hits the second mile stone, 2000.

The Sashmate Tools have come along way since the start at Glassex back in 2005 where just one product existed and was presented by both myself, my step father and father! It was an exciting time and we regularly had 10+ visitors crowded round our little 2 x 3 m stand trying to work out why they hadn’t thought of the idea. Years on, 5 new products, a Steel range, national awards and the recognition and recommendation of the industry later and the Sashmate tools have never been in such demand! February was an especially exciting time for us when we saw our 2000th set leave the stock room on its way to its new lucky owner.

Although Australia is about 9500 miles away from us here in Great Britain that doesn’t seem to be stopping the Sashmate in the slightest! The second Sashmate order has been packed and posted to Australia’s ‘Alchin and Long Group’ and already the feedback is excellent! As the second company in the whole of Australia to currently use the Sashmate tools Alchin and Long but have an unfair advantage over their competitors?! Oh well!

The Glass and Glazing Federation and the Health and Safety Executive have produced the Code of Practice for Working at Height in the domestic glazing industry. The HSE have made it clear that the industry must work towards total elimination of ladders (and where possible platforms) and have set a target of 5 years to implement this goal. The Code of Practice now includes the revolutionary Sashmate. Companies and their duty holders must now consider using the Sashmate as an alternative to sending employees to work at height.

‘Everest Fit the Best!’ (and also use the best – Sashmate Tools)

Every sale means the world to Glazesafe, whether it has come from a sole trader, an SME or one of the most recognised names in the industry! Everest always seem to be one step ahead, whether it’s the profile/hardware they are using or the list of services they can supply (Triple Glazing to name just one big development). Although it has taken them 8 years since the launch of the Sashmate Tools we won’t hold that against them, late really is better than never… It is good to know that even the ‘big boys’ actually care about their worker’s safety and they have proved that by ordering a batch of Sashmate Steel Tools with the possibility that they will become standard in their company. Good on you Everest!

The Sashmate tools have been a resounding success in the UK for years, making the lives of window repairers safer and making jobs quicker and more profitable. Now it seems our Australian cousins will be safer at work as our first order to Australasia is sent out to Sydney! Gary Stevenson, Director of Windowline PTY was the first to order his full set of Sashmate Steel products which made their way by air, in only three days, to Gary who has been in the window game since 1989. A leader in the industry, Gary has carried out major and extremely high profile projects throughout Australia and knows the industry like the back of his hand. It is a great feeling that with that experience he has realised the benefits the Sashmate Tools offer and has invested not just in the tools but also in...
